MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS PROVIDES FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE OF Rs. 99.49 CRORE TO STATES AND U.T’S FOR E-PRISONS PROJECT

1. Minister of State for Home Affairs Ajay Kumar has stated that the Ministry of Home Affairs has provided financial assistance of Rs. 99.49 crores to the States and Union Territories for E- prisons project.
2. Minister of State for Home Affairs has stated that E- prisons have been operationalized across all country with an aim to computerize all the functioning of prisons.
3. E- prisons is an integrated system which computerize all the activities related to prison and its management. E- prisons data has been integrated with Police and Judicial system and it can be accessed by the Officials of law enforcement agencies through Inter- operable Criminal Justice System.
