NEWLY ELEVATED JUDGE OF SUPREME COURT IS IN THE LINE TO BE THE FIRST WOMAN CHIEF JUSTICE OF INDIA

1. Chief Justice of India N.V. Ramana has administered Oath of Office to Justice B.V. Nagarathna.

2. Justice B.V. Nagarathna is the first woman Justice who is in the line to become the first woman Chief Justice of India in September, 2027.

3. Justice B.V. Nagarathna is the daughter of former Chief Justice of India E.S. Venkataramiah.
