FIRST FEMALE CHIEF JUSTICE OF BOMBAY HIGH COURT GETS RUTH BADER GINSBURG MEDAL OF HONOUR

1. Justice Sujata Vasant Manohar has been awarded the Ruth Bader Ginsburg Medal of Honour instituted by the World Jurist Association and the World Law Foundation.
2. Justice Sujata Vasant Manohar was the former Judge of Supreme Court and the first female Judge and Chief Justice of Bombay High Court.
3. Ruth Bader Ginsburg was an American lawyer and nominated to the Supreme Court of United States by the then President Bill Clinton and this award is a tribute to her.
